Portfolio

Weidlinger's milestone projects over the past 25 years follow in the tradition of earlier significant projects that are not included in this portfolio, such as the CBS Building and the Beinecke Library at Yale University. The projects are set apart by their complex geometry, unique expressed structures, integrated systems, inventive use of materials, and more recently, sustainability. Or, if they are bridge reconstructions, they were successful in attacking core problems in the original design to simplify future maintenance and increase public safety. All projects in the panels below received Gold, Platinum, or Diamond awards from the American Council of Engineering Companies. Weidlinger's investigation of the World Trade Center collapses stands alone as a Grand Conceptor winner and a firmwide cooperative effort. It drew upon and tested all of the firm's competencies, from mathematical modeling to analysis of tall buildings.
