06.2006 - Marcy Stanley Receives SMPS Marketing Achievement Award

Stanley has worked in all marketing areas during her 20-year career in the A/E/C industry. As Director of Business Development for Weidlinger's buildings practice, Stanley increased the firm's business in New York and Washington, DC.

NEW YORK - Weidlinger Associates announced that Marcy Stanley, Director of Business Development for the firm’s buildings practice in New York and Washington, DC, is the recipient of the 2006 Marketing Achievement Award from the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) in New York. The award salutes “marketing professionals whose achievements and lasting contributions to the field are exemplary.” It was presented at their Annual Honors Awards Reception.

Since joining Weidlinger Associates in 1999, Stanley has targeted the cultivation of client relationships to the specific needs of each geographic area, increasing significantly the number of projects won by her division. She honed her marketing skills in previous business development, marketing, and management positions at prominent New York engineering, construction, and publishing firms and was at one time Assistant Director of the American Institute of Architects, New York chapter.

Tod Rittenhouse, Managing Principal of the buildings and security divisions of Weidlinger, said: “We are very pleased that Marcy is receiving this recognition. She is a wonderful ambassador for Weidlinger, who has helped to increase the firm’s visibility and client base.”

Stanley has a BA in English Literature and Certificates in interior design and personnel management from New York University. She is an Allied Member of the American Institute of Architects, a member and past board member of the Society of Marketing Professional Services in both New York and Washington, DC, and a member of the New York Building Congress, Society for College and University Planners, and Society of American Military Engineers.

SMPS’ 2006 honorees included Amanda Burden, Commissioner of the Department of City Planning; Vishaan Chakrabarti of the Related Companies; Charles Linn and Jane Kolleeny of Architectural Record; and Cheri Mellilo of Butler Rogers Baskett.
